old baking sheet pan

I hate cleaning dishes…HATE IT! Especially the over-sized items like sheet pans. I seriously would go through 2 or 3 a year because I would get so sick of washing them, I would just throw them out! Don’t throw out your pans! Check out these 2 amazing tricks instead! Holy Cow! I am proud to say I haven’t purchased a new sheet pan in over a year and a half.

Remove Cooked On Food Stuff From Cookie Sheets and Pans

What you need:

1/2 C. Baking Soda

1/2 C. White vinegar

1 Pair of gloves

Put Soda and vinegar in a kitchen sink with hot water and soak the pan for 30 minutes. If the pan is too long to be fully submerged, repeat the process after flipping the pan 180 degrees.

After the 30 minutes is up, scrub the pan with the rough side of a sponge. Once food bits are off, clean the pan with warm soapy water and dry with a clean cloth.

Make An Old Sheet Pan Look Brand New

What you need:

Baking Soda (get a large box)

A plastic spray bottle filled with Hydrogen peroxide

1 Pair of gloves

This process isn’t necessarily fast but it will clean your sheet pan like magic! Coat the back side of the sheet pan with a generous amount of baking soda. Sprinkle, spritz or spray (my preferred method) hydrogen peroxide on top of the baking soda layer. Then cover with another layer of baking soda. Let the concoction sit for 2 hours. When the 2 hours are up, take a sponge that has a scrubby side and scrub and wipe the mixture in a circular motion. The pan will look brand new!

Repeat the process on the front side of the pan
